Quality of education and development strategy

The Social Work study programme reflects the changes in the development of social work as a scientific discipline. The established content of the study programme needs to be continuously updated periodically in accordance with the requirements of practice and international benchmarking. The set of objectives and learning outcomes of the study programme should also be regularly updated.

However, feedback on all the processes that ensure the quality of the university is also inherent in the quality assurance of the university. Without feedback, it is not possible to improve the quality of higher education.

On this basis, the Departmental Council of the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Education, Comenius University in Bratislava approved the Sustainable Development Strategy for the field of study 33. Social Work.

The authors' collective of Danubius University in cooperation with the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava has compiled for you an overview study, which is devoted to the management of the quality of education at universities.Nowadays, quality is a very frequent concept, which has a number of author's definitions, which have a multidisciplinary dimension of understanding influenced by various factors.

However, our intuition tells us that quality cannot always be measured and expressed only in numbers. We are convinced that quality lies somewhere in the middle, between numbers and the satisfaction of its recipient. The quality of any subject is the degree to which its satisfaction is fulfilled in two sets of characteristics. The first group of traits is at the rational level and the second group of traits is at the emotional level. Therefore, the concept of quality especially in the educational system can be interpreted in two ways: subjectively and objectively. We want to know what is your definition of the quality of education provided by the college.
