Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology
The Wishing Tree

A tree was planted in the Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology. But not an ordinary one! In the corridor of the Sholes 4 building, you will find a wishing tree. With this tree, we have joined the action to promote mental health, which is backed by the non-profit organization Pathway to Mental Health.
On the branches of this tree, each of us will find ordinary words with extraordinary power. They can help, improve the day, encourage and bring a bit of colour to our everyday lives.
Do you want to support someone?
Stop by the tree, take a piece of paper, a marker and write a message for someone who is maybe having a bad day, a bad mood or something is going wrong. Write your words, sign your name and add to the wishing tree.
The wish tree is there for all of us.
Welcome to the website of the Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology
The Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology provides psychological training for all male and female students of teacher education programmes within the framework of the general teaching foundation. It also provides training for all students of special education and non-teaching disciplines in the subjects of general pathopsychology and psychology of individuals with various types of disabilities as well as psychology with a clinical focus.
A significant part of the department's activities is scientific research, which has been continuous since the establishment of the department.
A psychological counselling centre operates at the Department, where the staff of the Department help students to solve their academic and personal problems in the form of counselling activities.
