Zuzana Pekařová

Zuzana Pekařová graduated in Teaching English Language and Literature and Slovak Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. During her studies, she discovered her passion for teaching adults, worked at a language school, and obtained the CELTA certificate. After graduation, she joined the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University, where she teaches English and Slovak for Specific Purposes at the Institute of Medical Terminology and Foreign Languages. As part of her professional development, she completed a rigorous examination in the field of Teaching and Educational Sciences. In both her research and teaching, she focuses on the didactics of Languages for Specific Purposes, particularly on finding a balance between terminological accuracy and communicative, meaningful language use in professional contexts.
