Eva Smetanová

PaedDr. Eva Smetanová, PhD. has been working in education for more than three decades; since 2003 she has been active in the academic sphere in Slovakia and abroad. In her scientific and research activities she focuses on current issues of education and upbringing, psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects of language, didactics of foreign languages at all levels of education. It also deals with the issues of multilingualism, intercultural communication, educational management. She has extensive experience with working in an international environment, is a member of several expert teams in Slovakia and abroad, and is a co-investigator of several scientific research and educational projects. At the Department of English Language, Literature and Didactics, she leads students' teaching practice.
