About the Project

CROSS-ACCESS is an interdisciplinary ENLIGHT Thematic Network focused on transforming healthcare, education, social service and legal systems in the context of migration and disability.

The project responds to persistent systemic barriers that limit access of migrants with disabilities to healthcare, education, social services and legal protection. At the intersection of migration, disability and public systems, fragmentation often occurs, leading to disrupted support and exclusion from rights.

CROSS-ACCESS is grounded in the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and brings together expertise in global health, law, social work and education. The project applies a participatory approach and involves organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), migrants and other stakeholders in the development of its outputs.
