Innovation Centre

The cooperation between Comenius University in Bratislava and UNICEF resulted in the establishment of the Innovation Centre on 19 April 2023, under the auspices of the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava.
The Innovation Centre is conceived as a knowledge and scientific centre of social work, whose basic pillars are theoretical, practical and research parts. Its task is to bring new ideas, innovative methods and creative solutions that focus on the needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, the satisfaction of individuals with special needs and their social empowerment. The aim of the Innovation Centre is to continuously build the capacity of social workers, professionals and experts and to continuously support their educational and research activities. Within the framework of interdisciplinary teams, its task is to find proposed solutions to existing social problems that will have a positive impact on bringing about social change and promoting social well-being. Last but not least, its mission will be to systematically develop social values.
