Under Western Eyes Wroclaw 2025

On May 15-16, 2025, our colleague Mgr. Diana Židová, PhD. participated in the conference entitled “Under Western Eyes: Central and Eastern Europe(ans) in North American Literature, Culture and History" at the University of Wroclaw in Poland, where she presented the paper Where is my Home(land)? Slovak American Voices in North America. The topic of the lecture was focused on the comparison of an autobiographical fiction “Out of this Furnace" by Thomas Bell and three novels known under the title "Dardan Trilogy" by the contemporary American author with Slovak roots Andrew Krivak.
