TEACHING PEDAGOGY IN COMBINATION
Graduate of the Bachelor's Teacher Combination Study Programme in the approbation Teaching Pedagogy (combined) in the field of study 38. Teaching and Educational Sciences is ready to continue his/her studies in this study programme in the 2nd cycle of higher education.
The graduate has mastered the basics of educational sciences and legislative contexts of education and has acquired the basics of digital literacy. He/she is capable of independently exercising the profession of pedagogical assistant and educator.
In the field of cognition, the graduate of the Bachelor's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined):
Possesses basic pedagogical and didactic knowledge to understand the relationship between the processes of education and learning, learning and teaching;
Knows the structure and subject matter of pedagogical disciplines;
Knows and understands the basic principles and laws of the processes of education and learning; understands the basic models of education and learning and modern concepts of teaching;
Has a theoretical overview of the origins and development of educational institutions and the pedagogical thinking of important personalities of pedagogy in the world and in Slovakia;
Knows the school system, the organisational structure and characteristics of the school system in Slovakia and its specific features;
Knows the school legislation, knows the generally binding legal regulations related to the performance of the profession of a pedagogical employee;
Possesses basic knowledge of the differences in the development of individuals resulting from their health or social disadvantages or talents, understands their educational needs and the specifics of the educational process;
Knows the basic categories of research methodology in educational sciences and the methodology of writing professional texts in pedagogy.
In the area of proficiency, a graduate of the Bachelor's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined):
Can apply adequate theoretical principles and practical procedures to analyse and solve various pedagogical situations;
Can identify, analyse, and evaluate current problems in education; is able to effectively plan, design, and manage the educational process;
Can effectively use information and communication technologies to support the educational process;
Is able to identify the individual educational needs of the pupil and accept the individuality of the pupil;
Can communicate and cooperate effectively with other professional and pedagogical staff in inclusive education conditions and follow their professional recommendations and conclusions;
Can communicate and cooperate effectively with the external environment (e.g. parents, community);
Is competent in navigating school legislation, regulations, and documents;
Has developed the ability to critically evaluate himself/herself and independently further his/her education;
Has a competence in writing professional texts;
Can exercise ethical and social responsibility and observe ethical principles specifically in relation to the teaching profession;
Is capable of continuing his/her education in order to pursue further studies.
In the area of competencies, the graduate of the Bachelor's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined) possesses the following:
Basic professional and didactic competencies; the graduate is competent to plan, organise, implement, and evaluate educational activities belonging to the level of the profession of pedagogical assistant, or educator;
Personal competencies geared towards self-awareness, self-regulation, and lifelong professional growth and self-development;
Social competencies consist of effective communication and cooperation with pupils, legal representatives, other pedagogical and professional staff of the school, and other external partners.

TEACHING PEDAGOGY IN COMBINATION
Graduate of the Master's degree programme in the approbation of teaching of pedagogy (combined) in the field of study 38. Teaching and pedagogical sciences is eligible to work as a pedagogical employee performing work activity in the category of the secondary school teacher in the subject approbation of pedagogy, methodologist in the field of education and training, specialist in the quality of education and, following the previous degree of education, also in the category of pedagogical assistant and educator.
In the field of cognition, a graduate of the Master's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined):
Possesses knowledge of the theoretical aspects of the design, implementation and evaluation of education and training;
Knows and understands philosophical theories of curriculum and paradigms of teaching in relation to the current form of state and school curriculum in Slovakia;
Knows extensive theoretical and practical contexts of the content of education and didactics and methodology in his/her subject approbation (teaching pedagogy);
Knows the content of education and didactics and methodology in his/her subject approbation (teaching pedagogy);
Masters a wide repertoire of teaching strategies and methods, including activating interactive methods of teaching pedagogical disciplines;
Knows and understands the issues of pedagogical work in the context of the diversity of the student population;
Knows and understands the pedagogical, philosophical, and other human sciences in the context of education;
Knows and understands the documentation and curricular contexts of the teaching profession.
In the area of proficiency, a graduate of the Master's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined):
He/she is able to independently design, implement, evaluate the teaching process of pedagogical disciplines and adapt it to the specific conditions of pupils, class, and type of school at the level of upper secondary education;
Is able to design (project) partial parts of the school educational program of the school with an emphasis on the development of the school curriculum and curriculum;
Is able to apply interactive methods of teaching pedagogical disciplines;
Can creatively apply pedagogical-psychological and disciplinary-didactic knowledge in the teaching process of pedagogical disciplines;
Under the conditions of inclusive education, can communicate and cooperate effectively with other professional and pedagogical staff and follow their professional recommendations and conclusions;
Can creatively solve theoretical and practical tasks in the field of study and at the same time in broader contexts beyond the relevant discipline;
Can independently record, analyse, evaluate diverse and new pedagogical situations, respond flexibly to unresponsive situations, make decisions even with incomplete or limited information, and creatively approach their solution;
Has developed the ability to critically evaluate himself/herself and to further his/her education independently;
Possesses competence in academic writing;
Is able to apply ethical and social responsibility in the application of acquired knowledge and decision-making in the educational process, to observe the principles of professional ethics of a teacher;
He/she is able to communicate and cooperate effectively with diverse actors in the performance of the teaching profession, with the external environment, and is able to clearly and unambiguously communicate his/her conclusions and justifications to professionals, lay people, and the public;
In the area of competencies, the graduate of the Master's degree programme in teaching pedagogy (combined) possesses:
Professional and didactic competencies in the subject area of pedagogy, especially psychodidactic competencies focused on mediating the content of the educational process, creating conditions for the educational process, and also the ability to develop the personality of the pupil and his competencies;
Diagnostic competencies, the content of which is primarily the ability to identify and know the individual characteristics of the pupil;
Personal competencies orientated toward self-awareness, self-regulation and lifelong professional growth and self-development;
Social competencies consist of effective communication and cooperation with pupils, legal representatives, other pedagogical and professional staff of the school, and other external partners.
