ERASMUS+ IS THE EUROPEAN UNION'S PROGRAMME FOR EDUCATION, TRAINING, YOUTH AND SPORT.
Erasmus+ has three main activities:
- mobility abroad, both within and beyond the EU
- support for partnerships between educational establishments, youth organisations, businesses, local and regional authorities and NGOs
- reform projects aimed at modernising education and training and promoting innovation, entrepreneurial skills and employability.

FOREIGN INTERNSHIP FOR GRADUATES
For several years now, the Department of History has been offering graduate internships to its graduating students within the ERASMUS programme. Several of our graduates have successfully used them. In contrast to the exchange student mobility (Erasmus+), the internship programme allows successful 2nd degree graduates to become interns at a foreign university, cultural, academic or other institution of their choice (but also at a foreign primary or secondary school) after completing their studies at our department, with a 2-12 month stay paid for by our university from Erasmus funds. You can "repeat" your stay in an institution that brought you positive experiences from your previous stay, or find another one - one that you think your stay there will help you in your professional growth, in starting a successful career. Unlike exchange student placements, in graduate traineeships you are not limited by our signed bilateral contracts. The choice is yours. Naturally, you should consult your lecturers beforehand, but especially with the departmental Erasmus coordinator (PhDr. Maria Tonkova, PhD). The only condition after your selection is that you must complete your stay within twelve months after graduation. You apply for a graduate traineeship in your final year of study.
