DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AND PATOPSYCHOLOGY
Department of Psychology and Pathopsychology is a typical academic educational-research centre. In the field of educational content the activities of the department can be divided into three main areas:
Psychological preparation of all students of the fields of training for teachers of various academic subjects and arts education within the framework of the general basis for teaching. The most fundamental are the following subjects: Introduction to psychology, Foundations of developmental psychology, Foundations of social psychology, Educational and school psychology. Basic disciplines are supplemented by a range of obligatory optional and optional subjects which are designed to allow students to complete their professional profile and saturate their specific professional interests.
In the academic year 1993/1994 the master's degree study program Training of teachers of psychology in combination with studies with some of the other academic subjects. The department members in cooperation with external colleagues ensure teaching of all psychological disciplines of this study.
Education for all students of special education and non-teacher training fields of study in the area of general pathopsychology and psychology of individuals with different kinds of disabilities as well as clinical and health psychology and psychotherapy is also provided.
An important part of the department's activities are basic and applied scientific research which is continuous since the origin of the workplace in 1967 until today. Part of the department is Psychological counselling centre in which the department staff helps to solve students their study as well as personal psychological problems in form of advisory services.
