The greatest concentration of innovators on 29 September 2017 in Bratislava

The Falling Walls Lab is a unique event brought to you by Comenius University in Bratislava in partnership with the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the Slovak Organization for Research and Development Activities, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, the Technical University of Košice, and the University of Žilina. This is an inspiring and interdisciplinary format which provides a space for the presentation of innovative ideas and research projects from a wide range of scientific disciplines. Exceptional researchers, scientists, and innovators from the business and professional community will be able to present their projects on 29 September 2017 in Bratislava. Falling Walls Lab Slovakia is an accompanying event to European Researchers’ Night.

Falling Walls Labs have so far taken place in fifty countries and can involve the participation of students, young researchers and teachers, and members of the business and professional communities. This event provides space for the presentation of ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, ideas, and business models from a wide range of areas. The deadline for participation in Falling Walls Lab Slovakia is 10 September 2017.

The winner of every Falling Walls Lab event in each country receives an invitation to the Falling Walls Lab world final, which will take place this year on 8 November in Berlin, as well as a ticket to the prestigious Falling Walls Conference on 9 November. The final in Berlin will welcome 100 participants from around the world. Each participant will have the opportunity to present their research, initiative, or business model in a three-minute format before an expert jury made up of academics, scientists, and business representatives. Three winners will receive a financial reward and an opportunity to present their presentation at the prestigious Falling Walls Conference the next day.

The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to support scientific and business innovations and initiatives, and develop the exchange of ideas, inspirations, and findings among exceptional researchers and professionals from various fields.

Falling Walls Lab Slovakia is taking place on 29 September 2017 in the Moyzes Hall at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. Online registration is open until 10 September 2017. Falling Walls Lab Slovakia is being organized by Comenius University in Bratislava alongside other notable Slovak universities as well as the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Slovak Organization for Research and Development Activities. This event is supported by the Falling Walls Foundation.

The Falling Walls Foundation

The Falling Walls Foundation is a non-profit organization which focuses on stimulating discussion on research and innovations and promoting the latest scientific findings among the wider community, including all parts of society.
